from March 6th at 9am on 96.8 FM & Online.
New radio station for Erewash
A RADIO
station for Erewash will be launched on March 6.Erewash Sound, which will
broadcast on 96.8 FM, has been granted a licence
for five years.
It will be on 24 hours a
day, seven days a week, playing the
"favourites of today and yesterday."
The station will also carry news and information
during its schedule and present a range of
specialist music shows.
Jeff Martin, of Erewash
Sound, said: "The station will be around
75% music and 25% speech.
"We want to entertain
as well as inform and by featuring the best of
today's chart and favourites back to the 60s we
hope it will be a station the whole family can
enjoy."
To start with it will be
staffed by volunteers. Test transmissions take
