Bonfire and Firework Display

5th November 2009

The countdown is now underway to this year’s Erewash Bonfire and Fireworks extravaganza, a sparkling night of fantastic family fun which always attracts thousands of people. A blazing community bonfire, funfair rides, food stalls and a fabulous firework fiesta based on the TV favourite Strictly Come Dancing will make the 2009 Erewash spectacular a must for people of all ages.
And tickets for this unmissable night are already on sale - meaning families can save themselves money by buying their admission to this ever-popular event in advance.

This year’s civic spectacular will get underway at 6pm on Thursday 5th November at West Park, Long Eaton and the evening’s timetable includes:
6.30pm - magical lantern procession featuring local schoolchildren, who have made the lanterns during school workshops with a professional artist over the last few weeks.
7pm - the bonfire will be lit by the Mayor of Erewash, Councillor Terry Holbrook.
7.30pm - firework display to music based on Strictly Come Dancing.
